PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Auckland’s first underground rail network stretching 3.4km from the centre of the busy Auckland CBD to the inner suburbs. The project involves the construction of two separate tracks and new underground stations as well us upgrades to existing stations.

Agile was appointed as the Independent Peer Reviewer for Noise and Vibration for the second phase of contracts. A series of detailed reviews of the proposed construction noise and vibration plans were conducted to verify any compliance issues or improvements to meet the approved Notice of Requirement (resource consent) conditions. As the construction was expected to have a major impact on the day to day operations of the properties and businesses around, it was important to ensure that all major affected parties were identified and considered. The work conducted by Agile aided the Link Alliance team to determine the correct balance between protecting all affected parties (particularly maintaining business operability) and getting the works completed in an efficient manner.
