PROJECT DESCRIPTION

29 Mauranui is a four-level residential development in Epsom with basement parking and 18 well-appointed two- and three-bedroom townhouses on the three floors above.

Along with Building Services design / management, Agile was contracted for Independent Testing for the apartment block through the course of the construction process. The aim was to ensure that all apartments were compliant with Section G6 of the NZBC and that the noise levels within the apartments were all compliant with the relevant Resource Consent conditions. Our involvement was started early in the construction process in order to identify any building defects which cause acoustic issues early in the process. Often this approach resulted in challenges to testing but this allowed for corrections to be made relatively easily and quickly without impacting programmes.
